DUNDEE DARTS ACADEMY
At the heart of Dundee’s growing darts community is the Dundee Darts Academy (DDA) – a vibrant, inclusive space where young players aged 7 to 18 come together to sharpen their skills, build confidence, and enjoy the game they love.
Now home to around 75 dedicated members, the DDA is more than just a place to throw darts. It’s a hub for developing teamwork, sportsmanship, and mental wellbeing – values that are embedded into every training session. The academy prides itself on being inclusive, with a strong focus on equality, diversity, and supporting girls, disabled participants, and underrepresented groups in the sport.
What makes the Dundee Darts Academy stand out is its holistic approach. The committee brings a wealth of experience from across different organisations and is committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment where young people can grow – not just as darts players, but as individuals.
Strategic partnerships with Dundee City Council and the NHS Charitable Trust are helping to ensure the academy’s sustainability, making it a valuable resource for sport, education, and social justice in the local community.
