Elite 1 is Target’s elite development programme for young darts players who have demonstrated exceptional ability, commitment, and ambition to succeed at the highest level of the sport. The programme provides structured, long-term support designed to help players reach their full potential and progress towards professional competition.
As a high-performance, selective programme, Elite 1 prepares players for the demands of elite darts, with a long-term objective of progression towards professional tours and tour card status. Working closely with players and their management teams, Target delivers a clear and focused development framework that supports technical improvement, competitive readiness, and personal growth.

Elite 1 is built around a 360-degree support system that looks beyond performance alone. Players benefit from a comprehensive, world-class development programme covering every key area required to succeed in professional darts.
This includes access to elite-level coaching, sports psychology, nutrition and lifestyle guidance, financial planning and education, as well as support with media, marketing and personal brand development. Led by Experience.
The Elite 1 Programme is led by Head of Youth Development and #TeamTarget professional Lorraine Winstanley. A World Masters champion and experienced mentor, Lorraine plays a vital role in guiding players through each stage of their development, providing support, insight and leadership both on and off the oche.
Her experience at the highest levels of the game, combined with Target’s performance expertise, ensures Elite 1 players are supported by people who truly understand what it takes to succeed in professional darts.
